Redefining the concept of service - Brijesh, LTC'12

There is a quotation which says, “Keep true to the dreams of your youth” Following the essence of these words in the truest sense, Brijesh Prasad, an alumnus of Lead the Change 1 has embarked on a journey to fulfill his dreams.

Currently a Gandhi Fellow, Brijesh  is working with six BMC (Bombay Municipal Corporation) school Headmasters on BMC led program called School Excellence Program. It works on the competency development of Headmasters through a program called Headmaster Leadership Development Program.

About his rendezvous with Youth Alliance Brijesh says, “YA was the platform that brought me to the fellowship. It helped me gain an insight into the development sector and the various areas where such amazing people like Anshu Gupta (Goonj) and Ravi Gulati (Manzil) are working. It wasn't just the program but the entire organization & how it grew as a family & not just a 6 week thing to do. It was a beautiful journey that shall stay with me forever. YA has and shall stay a vital part of my life.”

The stronghold of his beliefs is embedded in the ideas of collaboration and sharing. Following these beliefs, Brijesh wishes to create a space which stimulates and redefines the concept of “service”. His idea is to create a dining experience for people based on gift culture. This will be a space where they can eat, cook, pay, not pay, engage, interact and offer voluntary services in any form they wish, to have the most memorable memories of their lives.
