Exploring the Spark within : Karan, Gramya Manthan'13
“A world starts becoming ideal as its youths start following the voices of their hearts.”
Karan Bajaj an alumnus of Gramya Manthan, a Youth Alliance initiative is one of those people who has chosen to not be affected by the noises of the world and instead wishes to create his own path through self-exploration. Currently a technology associate at a leading investment bank Karan utilizes his weekends to volunteer with Teach For India fellows teaching BMC students in a Muslim locality in Malad. Occasionally he also helps his friends in idea building and funding activities.
Even as Karan joined us a year back he had the spark and passion seen in those who wish to bring a change. About his association at Youth Alliance(YA) he says, “YA made me experience the passion to transform the world and impact a billion lives . Moreover YA was almost always pro-action. We took oath to be responsible citizens of India, and I see my YA friends living that. We talked about integrity and every day at Gramya Manthan, as our family knit itself closer and stronger, I felt us living that integrity together. Gramya Manthan hasn't just provided us answers, but emphasized our need to question everything around us.
My experience in Ganga Deen Nevada with fellow village-mates will be an experience to remember for a lifetime. Sitting under the majestic banyan tree watching the women of the village question themselves, believe in themselves, and emerge with answers, made me realize how intelligent we all inherently are - one extraordinary learning."

As for his long term plan Karan believes in letting life take its own pace and magic to unfold. He is ready for his flexibility to guide him in any direction. We wish Karan all the best for his future.
