Learning in every Opportunity : Divas, Lead The Change '12

Divas Vats joined the Youth Alliance family back in 2012 for our program Lead The Change. Even as he came as a participant Divas brought with himself immense desire, drive and a strong awareness about the importance of Youth Participation and Leadership. He swears by the philosophy of seizing the opportunity to learn something new each day and finding a way to use that knowledge to bring a change.

Divas has worked with Consumer’s Forum on the issue of Consumer’s Awareness. Post Lead The Change(LTC), he went on to join Kaivalaya Education Foundation as a Gandhi Fellow.  Dedicated and passionate towards the idea of bringing about a change, Divas aims to come up with an idea in the area of his interest and a viable plan to be worked out which can eventually cause positive impact on people and society.

About his experience with LTC, he says, “Youth Alliance exposed me to host of developmental areas and introduced me to the gravity of the issues. This happened through terrific organizations supporting YA and visionaries who founded them. I was suddenly thinking about various opportunities, for a moment becoming more confused only to resolve confusion later for better clarity.” 

Divas will be joining Youth Alliance full time as a core-team member from this April. Also, alongside for two days in a week, he plans to associate himself with government schools of a particular area with the assistance of a local legislator to make them model schools and develop an independent curriculum for anyone willing to pick it up for school reforms.
