Learning from Ground Realities : Mohit, Lead The Change '13

“The one thing that matters is the effort.”

Believing in the essence of these words in the truest sense, Mohit Raghav, a hard working, individual who is all passionate about his dreams, joined our lead The Change program in 2013. Currently he is working with Goonj.

About his plans, which focuses on Blood Donation, he says,” The idea which we are working on will try to fill up the gap of blood Supply & Demand as demand is high in comparison to supply. Also we are trying  to aware people about blood donations. Our project also aims to stop the illegal supply of blood in the community by blood banks & want to connect all the blood banks online to get all the NGO/Societies at the single platform working on this.”

About his association with Youth Alliance, Mohit says,” As an organization, Youth Alliance has played a role of a parent in my life. I needed guidance in terms of right path to achieve my vision and my startup. Youth Alliance’s Lead The Change program helped me a lot through the sessions by different passionate social leaders. The Kanpur visit has helped me to understand the ground realities of community problems. The Goonj experience was one of the best which made me realize that I can do something and I will definitely do something for the community.”

Eying to become a health service provider at the global level, he wishes to bring the change by working on these issues. His commitment to the grassroot work that he is doing at Goonj has taught him many realities of common people that will surely help him in achieving his long term vision.
