Creating a society of infinite solutions for finite problems : Pawan,Changeagent '12
How often do we come across youngsters who aspire for a solution
oriented society where people see the social problems as challenges and
team-up to form creative solutions around them? A society where there is no
need of NGOs but social entrepreneurship flourishes; where social service is
redundant but sense of social responsibility prevails; where there are finite
problems but infinite ideas to solve those problems !
Pawan Gupta, an
alumnus of Youth Alliance , is one of those
inspiring youngsters who lives and breathes by this mantra. Affected by the
inequalities in their surroundings, Pawan joined in with the team of Seva Setu, an
initiative based on the idea of connecting all those who are willing to solve
the problems of the society. Focusing primarily on the health issues, SevaSetu is
trying to help people in having access to their fundamental rights.
They have started their pilot projects like Mother Care, Kids
Care & Citizen Care in Bihar using mobile phones as a powerful tool while
planning and monitoring the field work remotely. The projects are currently in
a transition phase and the team has slowly and steadily started focusing on the
scale of their impact.
Pawan’s vision is to create a society where there is no
limitation of resources and ideas and his mission is to merge the concept of
Corporate and Social sectors and run a sustainable entity whose aim is to
create tangible social impact.
About his experience at YA, Pawan says, “Though I was with Youth
Alliance for a small period of time, it was as an eye opener for me as for
everybody else. It actually took me through a tunnel full of darkness but it
also showed the enormous light at the end of it and gave me the confidence”.
With pride and belief in the amazing individual that he is, we
wish Pawan all the luck and hope he goes a long way with his vision.
