Availing medication at affordable prices : Arpit, GM '12

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

Arpit Sarin, an alumnus of Gramya Manthan 1 did exactly that when he went on to start his social initiative Dawailelo.
DawaiLelo is an online medicine portal which provides free home delivery of medicines to patients at discounted prices. As of now it is limited to Varanasi but will soon be expanding to the next city Gorakhpur.
In the first part of the model, Arpit and his amazing team, Aditya Agarwal and Ayush Agarwalplan to expand their services to all the two tier cities of India and simultaneously also start the service of acting as an interface between the patient and doctor. They have also planned on providing the database of all the doctors in a particular city so that patient may not get misguided regarding the same.

Dawailelo has emerged out of a dream of making healthcare available as widely as possible. An engineer by profession, Arpit has decided on combining technology with passion to produce sustainable results. In the long run he wants to establish Health Care Centers with regular availability of doctors, use video conferencing to connect patients in rural areas to urban doctors and make easily accessible low cost and good quality generic medicines.

About his experience with Gramya Manthan, Arpit says, -“Gramya Manthan was one of the best times of my life. It was a place of introspection and self realization. We got to meet people from different walks of life, shared and learned experiences of their journey. The best thing YA has provided me is the big bunch of enthusiastic team, which gives the courage to keep walking on the chosen path without any fear as you know that there is a team behind you to always support and encourage you.”

With full faith in his capabilities we are sure Dawailelo will go a long way in bridging the health-care gaps in the country,we wish Arpit and his efforts all the success and prosperity.
