Working towards contributing to the spheres of Rural livelihood,Women empowerment & Education: Vivek, Gramya Manthan'12
“If you’re walking
down the right path and you’re willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make
progress."
Vivek joined the
Youth Alliance family two years back as a participant of our program Gramya
Manthan. Keen on working towards the betterment of society, Vivek had started
on the exploration of his journey towards change. He went on to pursue a
Masters in Development Studies at Azim Premji University, Bangalore.
Through the medium of
this course, Vivek hopes to understand more about the society and the issues
with their impacts on individuals, collectives and how can different
individuals and organizations come together to bring a change in the society
collectively. Moving on from there, he wishes in the long run to be able to
work and make significant contributions to the spheres of Rural livelihoods, Women
empowerment and Education.
About his
experience at Gramya Manthan he says, " Gramya Manthan helped
me explore the other side of India by giving me an opportunity to experience
the life of people in the Rural areas. Youth Alliance
has provided me a much needed direction and
confidence to leave a corporate job and pursue what I really want to do in my
life."
With pride and
confidence in the way he has been leading by example we wish Vivek the very
best in all his endeavors.
