You may say I'm a dreamer but I am not the only one

For the last one year or more, I haven't read the newspaper. Before that I used to push myself too much to read it everyday. I used to feel too negative reading stories of tragedies, of conflicts, of political swindling and so on. For me, newspaper and media not only record and report these things they also condition me (us) to become like that. And it's not what's happening at the national or international level that worries me, its what's happening at the level of common individuals that pains me deeply. Our culture is becoming that of distrust, and we are making it everyday. Hence, the decision to not be conditioned with distrust, separation, diplomacy and letting love, trust, oneness express itself at my own level.

This song by John Lennon launched in 1971 captures the dream of a lot of us like me. Of oneness of the entire world, of understanding that earth is a living being, of breaking the trap of nationalism or religion and realize the true possibility that human race can see.  Art work by Pablo Stanley makes the message even more moving.

Lyrics:
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one
