पद यात्रा 2018 | Into the mountains

"Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky" said Kahlil Gibran.

If I may ever attempt to add to those profound words, I'd say the prose lies in the mountains. It is the mountains where the earth tucks away all the secret love letters, the pain of separation and flame of romance. And this divine conversation gives birth to life.

Padh-Yatra, a walking pilgrimage, celebrates the idea of a silent conversation with nature. Born 3 years ago in the cohort of ONUS - (2014-15) as a journey into the mountains, a mere journey churned such profound meaning for each Yatri that it shed its skin on its own and turned into a pilgrimage. The Yatra aims to create a space where you fetch what you seek, where the horizon is the inspiration and nothing is the limitation, where you let nature be your facilitator. This time we are set to colour the landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Padh-Yatra, as the name suggests, is finding the rhythm between your feet and the land beneath. It is about imparting a few grains of consciousness to your feet, even if it's a few steps of mindful walking. Be mindful and you may find miracles in the mundane! ;)
  • Another element that Padh-Yatra holds dear to itself is, silence. The greatest of poetry, stories, and experiences find redemption in silence. It's like, silence is the large canvas and different sounds are different strokes emerging from and dying into it. Finding your own silence is, thus, like creating your own art.
  • Be one with nature. Isn't home a place where all your attempts to escape cease to exist. Padh-Yatra gives you a moment to lean back, reflect and reimagine life. Come with your wildest of questions and put them to the wild nature, not sure about the answers but you may find a harmonious perspective.

Come. let's rub some silver to the horizon!
